Exporting agricultural products from Vietnam to the Middle East, Europe, and the Americas is a logistical challenge. It is a race against time, temperature, and humidity. At AT Agri Export, we understand that growing the world's best red shallots and garlic is only half the battle; the other half is ensuring they arrive at our customers' ports in the exact same pristine condition.
1. Pre-Shipment Curing and Sorting
The journey begins long before the shipping container arrives. Once harvested, our shallots and garlic are immediately transported to our specialized sun-curing facilities. This crucial step reduces the internal moisture content of the bulbs, preventing rot and premature sprouting during transit.
Following the curing process, our dedicated teams manually sort every batch. We rigorously grade the products by size, color, and firmness, ensuring that any bulb with even the slightest blemish is discarded from the export pile.
2. Export-Grade Packaging Solutions
Different markets have different requirements, and our packaging line is fully adaptable to meet these needs. We offer two primary types of export packaging:
- Ventilated Mesh Bags: Ideal for shorter transit routes or specific wholesale markets. These bags range from 5kg to 20kg and allow for maximum airflow around the bulbs.
- Heavy-Duty Carton Boxes: The gold standard for long-haul ocean freight. Our custom-designed carton boxes are structurally reinforced to prevent crushing when stacked high inside a container. They feature specialized ventilation holes aligned perfectly to ensure air circulates freely throughout the entire pallet.
3. The Art of Container Loading
Loading an FCL (Full Container Load) is a delicate science. For our red shallots and garlic, we utilize both standard dry containers and refrigerated (Reefer) containers, depending on the destination climate and the client's preference.
Our loading crews are trained to stack pallets in a specific configuration that prevents load shifting during rough seas while maintaining 'chimneys' (air channels) between the boxes. This guarantees that the cold air blown from the reefer unit reaches the boxes at the very back of the container.
4. Real-Time Tracking and Documentation
Delays at customs can destroy a shipment of fresh produce. To prevent this, our logistics team handles all necessary export documentation—including Phytosanitary Certificates, Certificates of Origin, and Bills of Lading—with absolute precision. We partner only with top-tier global shipping lines, ensuring reliable transit times and real-time container tracking for our clients.
"Our logistics operation is built on one simple promise: The quality you see on our farms in Vietnam is the exact quality you will receive at your port."
